A MODEL has narrowly missed out on the Miss England title.
Olivia Landin, 20, of Tattershall Drive, Market Deeping, was a finalist in the competition after winning the Miss Every Model competition.
But she missed out to Miss Devon, Charlotte Homes, at a ceremony in Leicester on Tuesday.
Olivia made national headlines this week when she revealed she was hours away from having breast implants when she won the Miss Every Model contest.
The victory boosted her self-esteem and she decided not to have the surgery and continue with her modelling.
She hopes her story will inspire other girls who suffer from body issues.
Olivia said: “I was going to have a surgical procedure but I realised I didn’t need to.
“I realised I won because of who I am, and it is important for young girls to realise that as well. It is not all about body image.
“It is about self-belief and having confidence.
“When I was going to have the operation my friends and family said they would support me with whatever would make me happy.
“They have always been very supportive of my decisions and everything I have done.”
Olivia is currently studying for a master’s degree in management as well as working in a Peterborough office.
She has not decided whether she will continue modelling but says she is keeping her options open for now.
