Stamford High School's Ana Isaia tots up a distinction in British Mathematical Olympiad

A pupil at the Stamford Endowed Schools has achieved a distinction in the British Mathematical Olympiad.

Ana Isaia, who is in Year 12, got her thinking cap on for the two-and-a-half hour British Mathematical Olympiad and was in the top quarter of the 1,000 participants, who are invited from schools across the nation because they shine at sums.

Ana's maths teacher, Susan Manning, said: "Ana showed an incredible performance, and this is a very well-deserved success."
