MD has Downing Street meeting on Brexit transport

PC Howard Ltd managing director Andrew Howard, was invited to 10 Downing Street to meet with the Secretary of State for Transport Chris Grayling.

Mr Grayling, along with Jesse Norman, Minister of State at the Department for Transport, hosted leaders from the haulage and logistics sector to discuss Brexit and what will happen in the event of a no deal outcome.

Mr Howard, from the King’s Cliffe-based firm, spoke to Mr Grayling about a shortage of drivers and the importance of getting logistics drivers classed as skilled workers.

Mr Howard said afterwards: “This was an excellent opportunity to both hear about the preparations that are being raised but also to raise issues that affect our industry and the future for the free movement of goods.”

PC Howard has its main depot at King’s Cliffe but also has depots at Corby and Swindon, operating in excess of 100 vehicles and employs 200 people and is within the top 100 owner managed businesses in Cambridgeshire.
