Until August 29, visitors to Oakham Castle can take part in medieval skills workshops and drop-in activities every Monday.

In the mornings there will be archery lessons from 10.30am to midday for £25 per person, with tuition from John Steel of Red Fox Archery.

For those who are more inclined towards arts and crafts, the Castle is hosting tile making workshops for £5. From 10am to 11am you can learn the craft using traditional patterns and techniques.

Then in the afternoon, drop-into the castle from 12.30pm to 3.30pm to take part in a range of activities, including Have-a-go-Archery and Medieval Banner Making.
