Andy Mann, Ady Carman, Pete Neuman and Nigel Law from Nene Valley Railway brave the shave in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support next to the Flying Scotsman

Not many people can say they have had their heads shaved next to the Flying Scotsman but that is exactly what happened to four workers at Nene Valley Railway.

The world-famous steam locomotive visited the heritage railway line and Andy Mann, Ady Carman, Pete Neuman and Nigel Law all braved the shave in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at Wansford Station on Monday.

Sarah Derry, head of fundraising at Nene Valley Railway, said: “A couple of them have had relatives that had died of cancer, particularly Andy whose father died of cancer and they wanted to join him to raise some money.”
