The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog tonight and tomorrow, Tuesday, morning.

Fog is likely to thicken this evening, Monday November 2, and become dense in places. Much of this will persist overnight and last well into Tuesday morning.

Some minor disruption to travel is likely with poor visibility leading to difficult driving conditions on some roads.

A stagnant and moist airmass remains in place across much of the UK. Fog has persisted through Monday across many areas, and visibility is likely to reduce on Monday evening, often below 100 metres.

The fog is likely to thin quite quickly across the south of the yellow area on Tuesday morning but may persist for longer further north.
