Mid-Lent Fair kicks off in Stamford

The famous Mid-Lent Fair has returned to the streets of Stamford, with rides and attractions available for all of the family to enjoy this week.

The event begins today (Monday) with the official opening by the Mayor of Stamford at 6pm on the Waltzer located on the corner of Broad Street and Ironmonger Street.

Over 100 rides, stalls and food and drink outlets will line the streets on Bath Row and Broad Street until Saturday.

There will be a number of road closures whilst the fair is in town, including the top half of Cattle Market car park, Gooches Court and Bath Row car park, Castle Street, Castle Dyke, Sheepmarket, Broad Street, Star Lane, Red Lion Street and Red Lion Square. All roads and car parks will re-open on Sunday.

There will also be money-off vouchers available at the South Kesteven District Council offices in Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping for a great value day or evening out for kids and big kids alike.
