A CAT owner thinks her missing pet could have hitched a ride to Stamford from its home near Colsterworth.

Hugo, a grey and white tabby cat, has been missing from his home at Newton Way, Woolsthorpe, for nearly a month.

His owner Rebecca Tinker put up posters in the village when he went missing and has been contacted by a neighbour who had a similar cat jump out of his pick up truck after he had travelled down from the village to Stamford Junior School.

Mrs Tinker has also had a phone call from a Wothorpe resident who might have spotted Hugo in the area outside their house.

She said: “We’ve been down to Wothorpe since then to look for Hugo and have put up some more posters there so hopefully someone knows where he is.

“We are desperate to get him home.”

Anyone who sees Hugo can contact Rebecca Tinker on 07950 451508.
