More than £2,000 was raised at a village Christmas market at the weekend.
Morcott Christmas Market was held at the village hall on Sunday and more than 120 people attended the event, which raised funds for the hall itself and village church.
The market featured a host of stalls selling a range of items, including homemade produce and crafts as part of the Made in Morcott stall, Christmas decorations, bric-a-brac and much more.
Extra funds were raised through a raffle.
Churchwarden Jane Williams, who helped organise the event, along with Sharon Walker, was delighted by the success of the market.
She said: “It was a huge success. We raised £2,000 so we’re very very pleased with that total.
“It was a real community effort by everyone in the village.
“There were lots of children and it was a happy social occasion.”
