The Post Office is proposing to relocate Bourne Post Office from its existing West Street location to a nearby new location.

The existing postmaster Mr Habib Ul Rehman Hanif has identified an opportunity to move the branch to Paint A Pot Place, 31 West Street, Bourne, PE10 9NB. The premises would undergo a full refurbishment.

The existing store and Post Office at 24 – 26 West Street, Bourne, PE10 9DH, would then close.

Bourne would be a modern mains branch with three screened counters in a dedicated area of the store, plus a Post Office service point alongside the retail counter.

Opening hours would be Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm. This would mean that the branch would be open additionally on Saturday afternoon for customer convenience.

The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation. Post Office Ltd welcomes feedback on any issues customers would like considered before a final decision is taken on this proposal. The consultation will close on 21 August 2018. Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, via the Customer Helpline on 03457 22 33 44 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55.

Customers can also share their views online through the quick and easy questionnaire at www.postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 153230.
