An MP’s beloved puppy has been named the best dog in Westminster.
Rutland MP Alan Duncan was delighted to see his cocker spaniel/poodle cross Noodle win the Westminster Dog of the Year competition.
Noodle beat 14 other dogs owned by MPs from across the political spectrum.
She was awarded her victor’s rosette and bone by organisers The Kennel Club and Dogs Trust.
Alan said: “I had always known Noodle was the top dog in Parliament and today she has the proof.
“But today was also a fantastic opportunity to promote responsible dog ownership, and draw attention to the invaluable work of the Kennel Club and the Dogs Trust.”
