Mum overwhelmed by support for daughter Phoebe
Support has been flooding in from across the area to help raise funds for a little girl who was born with a rare genetic skin condition.
Five-year-old Phoebe Crowson experiences constant pain after being born with the rare genetic skin condition Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB, where the skin blisters and breaks away at the slightest touch.
For the past five years, Phoebe’s mum, Zoe, 37, has devoted her time to looking after her daughter, including setting up The Phoebe Research Fund to help raise money for research into her daughters condition.
Zoe, who is hosting a charity dinner and auction at the William Cecil Hotel on September 3 to help raise funds for the charity, has received an overwhelming amount of support from the local community who have shown great spirit in helping her little girl.
Most recently Phoebe was invited to meet the Peterborough United first team squad at the Mick George Training Academy.
Zoe said: “She was so excited to meet all the players. She now wants to be a professional football player. It’s really great to have Peterborough United on board with the charity.”
A number of local business have also approached Zoe to offer their support, in terms of offering raffle and auction prizes, including the donation of a hot tub from HotSpring World in Peterborough which is the top prize in the raffle.
Businesses from across Stamford are helping to sell the raffle tickets which can be purchased at just £1 each in support of Phoebe, including Essence of Beauty, Fine Foods, The Stamford Deli, Anand Shoes, Arch Label Agency, The Lounge Nail Bar, The Stamford Cheese Cellar, Love Stamford, Sukies, Rhinos Gymnasium and Anvils Interiors.
All of the funds raised will go towards finding a cure for EB, so Zoe needs all the help she can get to help make a difference.
If you are interested in helping out and would like to get in contact with Zoe please e-mail email@example.com or telephone 07718071645.
Tickets for the event can be purchased from Zoe at a cost of £50 each. For more information visit www.phoeberesearch.co.uk.
