The Peterborough Music Festival ended in grand style last week as the final trophies were handed out.

The five-day festival concluded on Saturday evening with recorder player Mollie Tadd winning the Peterborough Young Musician of the Year competition in front of a full audience at the Town Hall.

Other winners towards the back-end of the week included soloist Hannah Lemmon who is pictured alongside Emily Hale and Sophie Hardy.

The Ken Stimpson school choir were winners of the junior choirs class, with the trophy being held by Emily Hale.

Stamford School choir Vox also took part.

Before announcing the winner of the young musician contest, head judge Anne McDonald invited the audience to applaud all the music teachers and parents in the audience.

She said: “We are all very grateful for all the help and support they have given.”
