Connect Stamford installs new bike racks at Sheepmarket in Stamford with support from South Kesteven District Council
A set of bike racks have been installed at Sheepmarket in Stamford to encourage more sustainable travel..
Connect Stamford spearheaded the project with financial support from South Kesteven District Council.
It is hoped the racks will encourage more people to cycle into the town centre rather than use their car.
Chairman of Connect Stamford, David Taylor, said there are plans to extend the project further by adding more bike racks in the Cattle Market and Wharf Road car parks.
He said: "Our survey last year highlighted that this is something people want.
"It is a great start but we know more are needed."
Cyclists have been assured that the Sheepmarket area is covered by CCTV.
