Author Pauline Collett, of Oakham, has just published a book on the great composer Edward Elgar.
Called Elgar Lived Here, it traces all 28 houses and apartments in which Elgar lived, and from which appeared much of his greatest music. It is lavishly illustrated by plans, photographs and in particular her own drawings of the houses, some of which have now been demolished.
This is Pauline’s third book.
It is priced at £15 and is available from the Elgar Birthplace Museum near Worcester, and from Spiegl Press on 01780 762550.
