New cafe, Sibox, opens in Stamford

By Mercury reporter

A new cafe has opened in Stamford today.

Sibox will be offering hot and cold food, ice cream and milk shakes at the site of the former post office in Ryhall Road, and will be open from 8am to 5pm.

The cafe also offers free wifi, free coffee with any purchase, newspapers and an indoor dining area.

Owner Sivakumar Shanmugam said: "We hope to offer something different in a relaxing, welcoming environment.

"We will be offering a range of sandwiches, grilled sandwiches and hot meals and we have already had some 150 people through our doors.

"Our ice creams are proving to be very popular, as is the indoor dining area. We're trying to make this plaxce feel like a home from home, and the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive."
