New chairman for South Kesteven District Council

A new chairman has been chosen for South Kesteven District Council.

The former Mayor of Stamford, Coun Breda Griffin, took over the chair from Coun Jacky Smith, the representative for Grantham St Wulfram's at Thursday's annual meeting of the district council which had been postponed from May because of the pandemic.

Ian Stokes, the district council representative for Peascliffe and Ridgeway, was elected vice-chairman after a vote which he won over Bourne West councillor Helen Crawford.
