THE first drum circle event in Bourne took place at Wake House on Saturday.
The sessions consist of people “making music in the moment” using African drums, led by a conductor figure.
Drum circle facilitator Darren Goodale said: “It went okay for the first event in the town.
“The people who came along enjoyed it and all said they would come along again and bring some friends as well.
“It is really an American phenomenon but it is building in popularity over here as well.”
The sessions are often used as part of education workshops or corporate team-building because they bring people together.
The drum circles will on the third Saturday of the month from 2pm to 3pm and cost £7 for adults or £4 for under 16s.
