Claire Saberton, who has led the scheme and the publisher of Discovering Magazines, said: "We’re really excited to launch this scheme and want to encourage businesses and the community to come together.

"Love Bourne will focus on building and creating a sustainable high street which offers value, choice and personal service."

Love Bourne has already attracted the support of business owners including: ReNu, North Shoes, Cafe 35, Gerbera Beauty and Bourne Computer Store, along with many other outlets.

Businesses who join the group will receive special perks such as a promotion in the local magazine.

Other benefits of the marketing package include: window stickers for the retail outlet and further marketing and PR opportunities across social media including a dedicated Facebook and Instagram page.

The companies that join will also be part of the Bourne in Business group which provides networking opportunities and workshops as well as keep local businesses informed of what’s going on in the town with forthcoming events taking place.

People who pick-up a Love Bourne Card from the participating outlets, will be rewarded for their local loyalty with retailers, cafes and professional services offering discounts, extra products or service upgrades.

Claire Saunders of RENU health and beauty said: "The UK high street is under increasing pressure, so we all have to work together and look to new marketing opportunities to help boost and support our businesses. We hope this scheme will see more and more people shopping and enjoying their time in Bourne."
