MindSpace to host meeting about new allotment project in Stamford

Mental health services are expanding in Stamford with plans for a new allotment project.

MindSpace will host a meeting at The Shack in Recreation Ground Road, Stamford, tomorrow (Wednesday) to discuss plans for a Men's Shed and Community Garden at the allotment site in Uffington Road.

The idea is supported by the Rotary Club of Stamford, Stamford Round Table, Stamford Kiwanis and Stamford Town Council to provide a space for people to socialise and keep active.

Anyone interested in hearing more about the project can attend the meeting tomorrow (March 6) at 7pm.

A series of free mental health workshops are also running in the town at New College Stamford.

A three-session course titled Words Into Actions takes place on March 14, 21 and 28 from 6pm until 8.30pm to focus on making positive changes in life.

Sessions on improving sleep take place on March 21 and 28 from 2pm to 4.30pm and a workshop on borderline personality disorder takes place on April 4 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
