New school library opens after work

Wing Commander Nichol from RAF Wittering had the pleasure of opening Wittering Primary School’s new library on July 7.

Since Easter, the library has been undergoing work. In that time, parents and children were asked about what books they would like to see on the shelves when the library was finished. The children took part in fundraising events and a grant for completion of the project was provided by MOD Support.

The school’s headteacher said: “This is a fantastic example of how our community can work together to provide an excellent facility to benefit all the children.”
