WHEELIE bins will be delivered next week in preparation for the launch of East Northamptonshire’s new rubbish collections.
East Northamptonshire Council has changed its contract to improve kerbside collections for residents who will be able to recycle more rubbish than before.
Most homes will receive their bins within the next four weeks along with information about what rubbish goes where and what day collections will be made.
Council leader Steven North said: “The new system will deliver a substantial cost saving for the council, and ultimately council tax payers, and the new weekly food waste collection meets our commitment to deliver a weekly collection as promised.
“We believe most residents will welcome the introduction of wheeled bins.”
About a third of homes will have a new collection day.
