Stamford police urge people to get in touch if they have evidence of poisoned meat being left around the town

Police have responded to claims that someone is deliberately trying to harm animals by dropping poisoned meat around town.

Social media posts state that three dogs have died as a result of eating poisoned meat which was found at Stamford cemetery and the recreation ground.

It is claimed the latest incident happened on New Year's Eve when a groundsman discovered the contaminated meat.
