No signal for Vodafone customers in Bourne

MOBILE phone users in Bourne have been hit by network signal problems.

People who are contracted to mobile network company Vodafone have complained that their phone signal has been down for three weeks.

It is believed the problem is affecting residents in the PE10 area code.

The issue has also been a concern for members of South Kesteven District Council in Bourne because the authority is contracted to the network.

Mayor of Bourne Brenda Johnson, who is a Vodafone customer through her job, said: “The signal has been down for three weeks now, and more or less it has been completely dead.

“We got excited because it came back for a few hours on Tuesday but then it was gone again. I hope they are going to refund their customers for the massive inconvenience and it would be nice if they told people what was going on.”

Bourne resident Duncan McAuley said: “We’ve had no signal in the town for three weeks and it appears to be the talk of the town.”

The mobile network company said it is aware of the problem and is hoping to fix it soon.

A spokesman for Vodafone said: “Engineers are currently on site investigating a fault.

“We are aware that our customer in the Bourne area have been inconvenienced and we are doing everything we can to resolve the issue.”
