Nominate your heroes for Lincolnshire citizen awards

By Warwick Lane

Residents have just over a week to nominate members of their community in the Lincolnshire Good Citizens Awards 2015.

If you know special members of the community who freely give up their time to help others, without ever seeking payment or recognition for themselves, now is your chance to thank them for their outstanding voluntary work.

The four categories are: ‘citizen of the year’ celebrating a special individual, ‘young citizen’ for people aged 18 or under, ‘community group’ comprising three or more people and ‘couple / pair’ recognising dynamic duos.

The winners, chosen by a county council judging panel, will all enjoy a VIP day out at the Lincolnshire Show, together with a guest. They will also receive a cash prize and a framed certificate.

For more information and to make a nomination go to lincolnshire.gov.uk/goodcitizensaward or call 01522 552118.

The closing date for entries is Friday, April 24.
