The deadline for submitting new applications to vote by post and postal proxy, and for changes to existing postal or proxy votes, is Monday, April 15, 2019.
The deadline for receiving new applications to vote by proxy (not postal proxy or emergency proxies) is Wednesday, April 24, 2019.
Votes cast in the elections will be counted at Victoria Hall in Oakham on Friday, May 3 - the day after Polling Day. Depending on the number of contested seats, the count for town and parish councils may continue into Saturday, May 4, at the council chamber.
Following final recommendations made by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, there have been a number of changes to ward boundaries in Rutland since the last full round of local government elections in May 2015. This has changed where some people will need to vote.
