Children and staff at Oakham Day Nursery dressed up in their best festive jumpers last week, to help raise funds for the Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.

From Rudolph jumpers to elf hats, everyone made a huge effort to help raise lots of money for the nationwide appeal which supports Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children.

Charlotte Molony, joint owner of Oakham Day Nursery said: “We had such a brilliant day, we are now definitely in the festive spirit.

“It’s great fun dressing up just before Christmas and the children have been so excited.”

Alongside the flashing lights and tinsel, the nursery also hosted its own festive cake sale, with parents donating tasty treats to be sold to help raise extra funds.

Melted snowman and reindeer cakes filled the stall, along with some delicious delights donated by Hambleton Bakery.
