A CHARITY marked its 15th birthday by inviting staff and young people it has helped over the years to join in a weekend of fun.
Studentforce for Sustainability which is based at Oakham Station runs a range of projects across the country that help young people learn more about environment and sustainability issues whilst boosting their employability too.
About 45 people aged six months to 60 returned to the town for the weekend which included a range of activities such as cycling, helping out at Rutland Railway Museum, gardening for Oakham in Bloom and jam making.
The event was held at Oakham Rugby Club and proved a hit with everyone involved.
Charity leader Nick Goodman said: “It was so good to celebrate our brilliant charity with so many people. Our thanks go to Oakham Rugby Club, The Grainstore Brewery, Out of the Rut and Rutland Cycling for helping make it such a success”.
