The funeral of Mildred Skillett, of Lonsdale Way, Oakham, took place at Grantham Crematorium, followed by a memorial service at Oakham Methodist Church, the Rev Russell Parker officiating. Organist was Neville Favell.

Mrs Skillett died at her home, aged 74.

Educated at Preston Village School and Uppingham Central School she worked for Boots the Chemist in Uppingham; Rutland Knitwear and Catmose College as a dinner lady.

Her main hobby was ballroom and modern sequence dancing. She leaves her widower Donald and daughter Sally.
