Kathleen Williams

RETIRED shop assisant, Kathleen Williams, of Queen Street, Uppingham, died at her home, aged 88.

Daughter of George and Sarah Bryan of Mosborough, Derbyshire, she moved to Uppingham in 1949 on her marriage to Cyril Williams.

Kathleen enjoyed knitting and walking around Uppingham, meeting people on her walks and chatting with them, although this was sometimes a problem due to her increasing deafness.

The Rev Peter Holmes officiated at the funeral service at Uppingham Church.
