Monica Webster

THE funeral service for Monica Webster, of Main Street, Baston, took place at St John the Baptist Church, Baston, Canon Janet Beadle officiating.

Mrs Webster died at Peterborough City Hospital, aged 78.

Daughter of Charles and Margaret Jeffery, she was privately educated at The Willows School, Market Harborough and finished her education at Clark’s College, Leicestershire.

Growing up on her parents’ farm, her love for the countryside was great. She rode to hounds with The Pychtley and Fernie Hounds. Her hobbies included horse racing and greyhound racing.

She married Robert (Robin) in 1956. Robert died in 1993.

She leaves children Paul and Clare and grandchildren Ben, Emily, James, Charlie and Jack.
