OLGA Jesson of Wheatlands Close, Ketton, a retired office clerk, died suddenly at her home age 77.

The funeral service took place at St Mary’s Church, Ketton, the Rev Andrew Raymond officiating. Donations were made to RSSC Papworth Hospital.

Olga was the youngest of five children born to Edward and Lily-Annie Goddard.

She married Eric Jesson on December 15, 1956 and moved in to The Green, Ketton.

They later moved to Highfields (Wheatlands Close) and started a family, having three daughters, Gloria, Frances and Paula.

During her life Olga spent her teenage years in hospital, preventing her from becoming a teacher.

When she got better and was able to work she became a part-time office clerk at an auction rooms in March.

When she had her children she did part-time work cleaning were she met many new friends and even when they moved away they still kept in touch with her.

Her family and friends will sadly miss Olga.
