Pamela Walton

THE funeral of Pamela (Pam) Walton, of Qu’Appelle Residential Care Home, West Street, Bourne, took place at All Saints’ Church, Stamford, the Rev Mark Warrick officiating. Mrs Walton died at the home, aged 75.

Daughter of Albert and Gertrude Francis, she was educated at Stamford High School. Prior to qualifying as a swimming instructor, she worked for Garden News.

She passionately taught hundreds of children in the Stamford area to swim at the town’s outdoor pool and Stamford High School, and will be remembered fondly for embracing her profession with a hunger to teach and a big smile.

She leaves her children Guy, Simon and Katie.
