One person airlifted to hospital from Stamford

One person was taken to hospital by air ambulance from Stamford on Wednesday (July 25) night.

A spokeswoman for the East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they had attended the incident in Churchill Road shortly after 8pm.

She said: "We received a call at 8.14pm on 25 July to a private address in Churchill Road, Stamford.

"We sent a paramedic in an ambulance car, LIVES Community First Responders, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance.

"One patient was taken to Coventry and Walsgrave General Hospital by air ambulance."

Lincolnshire police said they were made aware "that an air ambulance was landing in the area to help with someone who had become unwell" but had not attended.
