One seriously hurt after six vehicle crash on A1(M) at Sawtry

The A1(M) northbound at Sawtry was closed overnight after a six vehicle crash left one person with serious injuries.

The carriageway was closed from 10.15pm last night (Friday) until just before 8am today (Saturday) following the crash.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “The crash was called in at 10.15pm, and we were initially told it involved two lorries. We were later informed it involved six vehicles.

“One person was seriously injured, and six others suffered minor injuries.”
