VILLAGERS enjoyed a lovely atmosphere at a gardeners’ open day.
Ryhall Gardeners Club, which was formed two years ago, held the event on Saturday to raise funds for its summer competition.
Oganisers were delighted with the £260 raised by the event, held at Ryhall village hall.
Plants and preserves were on sale and artists and craftsmen displayed paintings, prints and photographs.
There were also displays of lace-making, spinning with Alpaca wool, and Victorian garden implements.
Visitors could also enter a raffle or tombola, play games or enjoy refreshments.
Secretary of Ryhall Gardeners Sue Conlon said the day was “lovely”.
She said: “Many of the villagers were enjoying cups of tea together and it was a real social event, which was nice.
“Overall, we had a really good day.”
