114th Uppingham Fatstock Show cancelled by coronavirus pandemic

Organisers have cancelled the 114th Uppingham Fatstock Show.

This year's historic show would have taken place on Wednesday, November 25, but organisers have taken the difficult decision to cancel.

Cancelled only by war and two outbreaks of foot and mouth disease, this year's event would have been the 113th show since the tradition began in 1889. It’s a unique show being the only event of its kind in the UK still held in temporary penning in a town market square.
