A MAJOR exhibition of more than 50 paintings and drawings curated by a Rutland artist are on display in a new arts centre in Corby.

The paintings and drawings in the multi-media exhibition are artworks by Emmeline Boulton, who was called a “true British colourist” by her mentor, friend and renowned 20th Century painter LS Lowry.

Graeme Gibson from Lyddington has curated the show which includes photographs, film, and a recording of Boulton talking to Lowry.

The exhibition will travel nationally after its staging at the Rooftop Gallery in Willow Place Shopping Centre.
