Bourne Paralympian gets ready to compete in Tokyo

After years of training, a Bourne Paralympian will be competing in Tokyo tomorrow (Friday).

Bert Sheffield and her her horse Fairuza, who is known as Wonky, will be entering the dressage arena tomorrow morning at 11.38am (UK time).

The duo, who are best at West Pinchbeck's Four Winds Equestrian Centre, are competing Canadian equestrian team.

While this could be the second paralympics for Miss Sheffield, it will be the first for Fairuza, known as Wonky. Over the last six years she been transformed from a wildling to a top athlete thanks to the training of Miss Sheffield.

In a Facebook post, Bert states: "So excited to be getting out there on the sand on the biggest stage of our lives."

Paradressage is due to be shown on C4 and More 4.
