A FUTURE paralympic hopeful visited Baston Primary School on Thursday to inspire the pupils.
Table tennis player Emily Turner from Stamford visited the school as part of Lloyds TSB Local Heroes programme .
In partnership with the charity SportsAid, the Local Heroes programme supports the future stars of Team GB and Paralympics GB by providing funding to emerging athletes across Britain.
Chairman of Baston PTA Lisa Squires said: “This is our third visit from a local hero and the children really love it.
“The children all love table tennis so they were particularly interested to meet Emily.”
Emily spoke at the school assembly and passed her medals around for the pupils to get a closer look.
She then supported the pupils while they spilt into small groups and took part in athletics events.
