Patients left in phone queues for Lakeside Stamford after confusion over opening hours

Dozens of people waited on hold for a GP surgery on Monday (December 28) after its phone lines failed to say it was closed.

Coun Gloria Johnson was among those trying to call Lakeside Stamford’s Sheepmarket Surgery for an appointment.

An automated message told her she was 16th in the queue, but did not say calls were not being answered.
