People are being urged to take part in the sixth annual Santa Fun Run.

The Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley will once again be hosting the event, which will take place in the grounds of Burghley Park in Stamford.

The run will be started by the mayor of Stamford Bob Sandall at 11am on Sunday, December 16.

Press officer for the Rotary club Jon Whowell said: “The fun run is the best way for clubs and charities to raise funds and have fun at the same time. Over the past six years we have helped raise over £65,000.”

Last year more than 500 Santas took part from a variety of good causes.

The event is open to everyone and you can jog, walk or run the route.

Jon added: “The sight of hundreds of Santas in beautiful Burghley Park is amazing.”

It costs £12 for adults to register and £6 for those 15 and under. Visit to sign up.
