Ride for Rutland takes place at Exton Park
An annual charity horse ride was once again blessed with perfect weather.
Ride for Rutland took place through Exton Park on Sunday, May 12, with the permission of the Exton Estate.
Riders of all ages came from both Rutland and Northamptonshire to enjoy the 11 mile ride through Exton’s stunning park land.
The ride was sponsored by Oakham Veterinary Hospital and all riders were welcomed back with a rosette and a lavish tea at the end of their ride.
Meichelle Saunders who organised the ride, said: “This is our third ‘Ride for Rutland’ and it is fantastic to see how much all the riders enjoy their ride through Exton Park. We are so lucky to be able to offer this.
“I would like to thank Exton and everyone who has generously given their time to help with the ride, especially Sarah-Jane Ball who put in so much work to support the riders and Sue Blunden who kindly helped with the course!”
All proceeds from the ride will be used to pay for specialist advisers based at Citizens Advice Rutland who provide free, confidential, non-medical advice and support to people of all ages living with long term conditions such as cancer, dementia, strokes and mental illness in Rutland and the surrounding community.
