Pet owners can get free admission into Sacrewell Farm for the day when they enter their furry friends into the Pet experience day competitions.

On Sunday, August 16, anyone who visits the farm and activity centre near Wansford with their pet dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs or rodents will get in for free.

Pet experience day is a chance for pet lovers to visit Sacrewell for the day to not only meet the pets and learn more about the work they do at Sacrewell, but to meet industry experts who can help give advice on pet care.

Sacrewell is working with Nuvet, Hillside Birds of Prey, Chimbunny Stud, Furry Petz, Peterborough Cats Protection, Deeping Reptiles and Prehistoric Pets in association with South Lincs Herpetology Society, in order to introduce visitors to a wide range of pets from the warm and fuzzy to the cold-blooded.

Chimbunny Stud will also be judging pets in three categories; rabbits, Guinea pigs and rodents, picking the best in show. Sacrewell is also running a cat and dog photography competition which will be judged on the day with some wonderful prizes up for grabs.

Entry forms for the pet show and photo competition can be downloaded from the Sacrewell website www.sacrewell.org.uk or for more information please e-mail info@sacrewell.org.uk or telephone 01780 782254.

Please submit entries by Wednesday, August 12. Judging will take place at 2pm on Sunday, August 16.
