Peterborough-based travel giant Thomas Cook has extended its cancellation of flights and holidays to Sharm el Sheikh.

Bosses at Thomas Cook had axed all flights and holidays to Sharm el Sheikh, in Eygpt, until November 12 in the wake of the Russian Metrojet disaster.

Now that cancellation has been extended to November 25.

Customers due to travel up to December 10 will be offered the chance to re-book their trips or cancel them.

A spokeswoman for the Bretton based company said that two Thomas Cook flights will depart Sharm el Sheikh this evening, bringing holidaymakers back to the UK.
