Today's Great Eastern Run in Peterborough attracted hundreds of runners from across the area - but was cancelled on the start line.
The 13-mile event had to be stopped because of 'suspicious activity' at mile 11, which a race official described as 'a bomb threat'. Police have since spoken on the issue.
