Pilot given permission to fly from airstrip

A pilot who has recently obtained his licence has been given permission to use his airstrip in Braceborough.

George Bremner, of Manor Farm, Wilsthorpe Road, told a meeting of the development control committee at South Kesteven District Council that the airstrip at his farm was a hobby and he had a new aircraft which he wanted permission to fly from there.

The committee approved the recommendation to allow Mr Bremner to use the airstrip and increase the number of flights in and out of the airstrip from two to four in any one day, but for there to be no more than 100 take-offs and landings in a year.

Mr Bremner said he had a yellow Tiger Moth plane which had become a ‘local celebrity’.
