Affordable homes planned for South Street, Oakham

Plans have been drawn up for 14 ‘affordable’ homes to be built on a disused town centre site.

The former 'Picture Theatre' cinema, which opened in South Street, Oakham, in 1925 has since been Notons Oakham Saleroom and is located next to the entrance to Tesco supermarket car park.

The application to Rutland County Council would allow for the building of eight one-bedroom flats and six three-bedroom townhouses. The site would have 13 parking spaces.
