A house that was at the centre of a planning row is on the market after the dispute was resolved.

The owners of the Pavilion in Home Farm Close, Burley, were finally given approval to retain the property as it stands in August.

It followed a long-running dispute after it came to light in 2011 that the property had been developed beyond what it had planning permission for.

During the dispute, Rutland County Council issued an enforcement notice for the building to be scaled back but the current owners took it to appeal in July.

After one day of the planning inquiry, the couple submitted a new application to retain the extensions, which was approved.

The Pavilion is now on the market with Fine and Country in Stamford for £2.8m. It has five bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a gym and a home cinema. It has had several viewings over the past three weeks but no offers have been made.
