Plans for 110 affordable homes and a care home in Bourne refused by South Kesteven District Council

Plans for 110 affordable homes and an 80-bed care home were unanimously refused today (Wednesday, October 28).

Longhurst Group applied to build the homes off Beaufort Drive, which would also have included three self-build plots, while Alysia Caring wanted to build the care home next door, along with 22 retirement apartments.

Ahead of South Kesteven District Council's planning committee meeting, officers had recommended the plans be refused saying the proposals did “not have substantial community support”.
